Why does Metropolis only use vegan ingredients?

Back in college I had a lot of friends that were vegetarian or vegan and when we would shop I noticed how limited they were with what they could buy in the beauty section of the store. So many products contained animal ingredients or by-products that they weren't able to use. I created Metropolis products with those people in mind; I feel that Metropolis should be an accessible indulgence to all and don't want to limit our customers choices.

I also feel that adhearing to a vegan-only ethic goes along the same line of being 100% cruelty-free to animals. We at Metropolis Soap Co. are against any kind of animal abuse or exploitation and I think that, while some may feel it's alright to use animal byproducts like lard or tallow in their soaps, it just isn't in line with our ethics.

While this does limit our ingredient choices, we still strive to find vegan alternatives and are often delighted at the findings! I truly love Sunflower Wax and have found it to be so much better than beeswax, and I wouldn't have known about it if I didn't search for vegan alternatives!
